Chief Onyenwechukwu Patrick Ezeagu

(M.Sc., MBA, B.Sc., FCS, FDM)

Chief Ezeagu graduated from Liverpool John Moores,University of Lagos, Nigeria and University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nigeria where he obtained M.Sc. Governance & Finance, MBA Finance and B.Sc. Management degrees respectively. He is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and a Fellow of Institute of Direct Marketing of Nigeria. His career spanned Consultancy, Banking, Finance and Capital Market. Chief Ezeagu is a member of the Technical Committee of the West African Capital Markets Integration Council (WACMIC). He was a Member of Finance Committee, Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and served as a member Investment Management Sub-Committee of the Capital Market Committee of the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC). He also served and still serving in various Committees of both SEC and Nigerian Stock Exchange to promote the ideals of the Nigerian Capital Market. Chief Ezeagu has been registered with SEC and has been actively operating in the Capital Market since 1994.

He is currently the Chairman of Association of Securities Dealing Houses of Nigeria (ASHON), the Managing Director/CEO of Solid-Rock Securities & Investment Plc and seats on the Board of the Central Securities Clearing Systems (CSCS) among others.

Chief Ezeagu is widely travelled and had attended many executive management training programs both locally and internationally.

He is a member of the prestigious Lagos County Club 1949 (served on the Club’s Investment Committee) and PENA Club of Nigeria (its former President).

He is married with children and a Christian.

Akinsola Akeredolu-Ale

Akinsola Akeredolu-Ale is the Managing Director/CEO of Lagos Commodities and Futures Exchage An Astute Market Analyst and Operator, Akinsola has worked in various capacities since he nqualified as an authorized dealing clerk of The Nigerian Stock Exchange in 1994. He became a Chartered Stockbroker in 1995 and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers in 2008. His first degree was earned from the University of Lagos. He has a master’s degree in corporate Governance from the Leeds Metropolitan University, UK and is an Associate Member of The Nigerian Institute of Management. He has served on various Technical Committees of the Securities and Exchange Commission and The Nigerian Stock Exchange. He served on the Technical Committee for the Emerging Capital Markets Task Force UK (ECMT) tasked with the setting up of an operational and legal framework to facilitate emerging markets with special attention to Nigeria.

At various times he served on various committees at the Federal Government level including Vision 2020 Corporate Governance Thematic Group, The Coordinator Financing Mechanism for The National Integrated infrastructure Master Plan and the coordinator Financing Mechanism for the First Operational Plan (FOP) for The National Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan 2017-2020. Akin has over 26 years of experience in Wealth Management both in Capital and Money Markets.

His career began as a Manager in Fidelity Finance Company in 1992. He has managed large portfolios since then. In 1997, he was the pioneer General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of BFCL Assets & Securities Limited (A subsidiary of Oceanic International Bank Plc). In 1999. He was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of State Street Global Acquisition Limited, a position he held until he joined Fountain Securities Limited in the capacity of an External Consultant in 2002. He then moved to Arian Capital Management in 2006 to 2008 as the Chief Operating Officer before joining DSU Brokerage as The Managing Director. He was the vice Chairman of Association of Securities dealing Houses of Nigeria (ASHON). He has over 26 years’ experience in the capital Market Operations in: Assets Management, private Banking, Stockbroking, Marketing, Financial restructuring/ re-engineering, Project Finance and Capital Formation.

Afolake Lawal

Afolake Lawal is the founder and Managing Partner of Imperial Law Office. Her core focus is on corporate matters, with a bias for corporate governance, commercial law practice; mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructuring, corporate finance, etc.

She has over 25 years of experience advising and growing global companies with significant operating scale and complexity. Afolake is a co-founder of GTI Group. Prior to founding Imperial Law Office, she was the Director of Business Development &  Strategy at GTI Capital Limited, where she led the organisation’s global business strategy across Africa and Western Europe. Her ingenuity in corporate finance and business strategy has been invaluable in attaining the often-required balance between law and exigencies of business in meeting clients’ needs.

In 2010, she was nominated to the board of International Breweries Plc. As the Chairman of the governance committee, she led the entrenchment of corporate governance control and sustainability practice in the company. Her positive contribution as a board  member was instrumental to the rapid growth of the company to an international brewer with enhanced visibility and competitive edge. She joined the board of Eterna Plc in 2010, where in her capacity as the Chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee, she instituted a robust governance framework for corporate growth and sustainable profitability. Afolake also served on the board of Champion Breweries Plc and currently serves on the Board of Morison Industries Plc. She was recently appointed to the board of Lagos Commodities and Futures Exchange (LCFE) Limited where she desires to contribute to the advancement of the company.

She is a SEC-licensed adviser, and a member of the Institute of Directors, Nigerian Bar Association, Women Corporate Directors (Nigeria Chapter), Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), amongst others. Afolake is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and an alumnus of the Harvard Business School. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife; a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Anglia Ruskin University; Cambridge UK; a Masters Degree in International Law & Diplomacy from University of Lagos, and an MSc. in Corporate Governance & Finance from Liverpool John Moores University UK.

Haruna Jalo-Waziri

Mr. Haruna Jalo-Waziri is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Central Securities Clearing System Plc (CSCS), a position he assumed in November 2017. He has overall responsibility for delivering on the company’s vision and mission. Since resuming, Jalo has driven several strategic initiatives, leading to notable efficiency gains, and repositioning the company for sustainable growth.

He has almost three decades hands-on experience across multiple financial disciplines, with his career spanning investment banking, securities trading, pension funds and conventional asset management, business development and regulation. He is an award-winning executive, with reputable history in leading transformational change in businesses.

Prior to being appointed Chief Executive Officer of CSCS Plc, Jalo was Executive Director, Capital Markets at the Nigerian Stock Exchange, with primary responsibility for deepening the market through products, innovation, and new listings. He brokered the partnership between the NSE and the London Stock Exchange, an alliance which has birthed several dual listings on these Bourses. during his tenure, the Premium Board on the NSE, was Launched, distinguishing value companies with strong governance practice and creating enhanced liquidity flow for the counters. He led the team that introduced the Nigerian Sovereign Green Bond as well as the Federal Government Retail Savings Bonds and midwifed the partnership of the NSE with the MSCI Index. Jalo previously served as Managing Director at both UBA Stockbrokers Limited and UBA Asset Management Limited, transforming the businesses to becoming top-5 in their respective segments. He pioneered the asset management business of Kakawa Discount House Limited (now FBN Merchant Bank) and previously worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Jalo is a member of the Board of NG Clearing Limited and is a Director on the Board of Special Olympics Nigeria. He is on the Advisory Board of Business Day and currently serves as Vice  President of the AIFA Reading Society, an NGO, which focuses on promotion of a reading culture and sustainable development of the education system in Africa. Mr Haruna is a nominee of the Federal Government of Nigeria on the Board of Eko Distribution Company. He served on the Boards of several companies, including FSDH Merchant Bank Limited, Nigeria-German Chemicals Plc, Protea Oakwood Hotel Limited, Central Securities Clearing System Plc, Coral Properties Limited, UBA Stockbrokers Limited and UBA Asset Management Limited to mention a few. He is a life member of the Institute of Directors.

Jalo, an economist, is an alumnus of reputable institutions, including the Lagos Business School and Venture Capital Institute of America. He had his first degree and MBA from the University of Maiduguri and the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University respectively. Jalo is happily married and blessed with wonderful children.

John Osemedua Osode

A seasoned Chartered Accountant, Mr. Osode has worked in various capacities since he qualified as an Accountant. He has over 32 years of experience in the Financial Accounting industry.  He earned his first degree from Obafemi Awolowo University and became a Chartered Accountant in 1995.

He has worked in several accounting firms, and is the founding partner of Tradeways Express Int’l. He holds directorship positions in some other companies.

He is currently the Chief Finance Officer of KC Gaming Network Ltd, Lagos, Nigeria.

Mr. Emeka Madubuike

Emeka Madubuike is the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer Compass Investments and Securities Ltd (a member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange). He is the immediate past Chairman of the Association of Stockbroking Houses of Nigeria.

A Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Stockbroker, he is also a member of the board of Fellows of Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers. He represented the Association of stockbroking Houses on the board of the Central Securities Clearing System Plc (CSCS) for three years, He is a member of the Investment and Securities Tribunal (IST). He has operated in the Nigerian Stock Market for over 25years.

He is actively involved in Capital Market Committee initiatives in the areas of Demutualization, AMCOM Forbearance, Dematerialization, Investor Confidence Restoration, Advocacy etc. He is currently on the Board of the Lagos Future and Commodities Exchange.

Alhaji Rasheed Ola Yussuff

Alhaji R.O Yussuff is the Chief Executive of Trust Yields Securities Limited He is a Chartered Banker, Chartered Stockbroker and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Directors. Alhaji is the past Chairman of ASHON (Association of Stock Broking Houses of Nigeria) and is presently the Doyen of the Nigerian Capital Market.

He has over Forty (40) years Capital Market experiences which include being the:

  • Managing Director of Ibile Holdings Limited (the investment Company of Lagos State) which is one of the largest portfolio-managing companies in the industry.
  • Pioneer General Manager, Eko international Bank Plc (Skye/Polaris Bank)
  • Senior Manager (Corporate Finance) ICON Limited (Merchant Bankers)
  • Area Manager of ICON Limited for the Ten Northern States.

Alhaji is an alumnus of Southwest London College and City of London Polytechnic (now city University of London) respectively. Alhaji is also a Director of many Companies (Premier Paints Plc, Lagos Commodities and Futures Exchange, Worldwide Bureau De Change etc.) and brings to the organisation his wealth of experience in Stockbroking, Capital Market Operations, Investment Management, Banking and other Financial Services.

He is married and has two children.

Mr. Michael Daniel Katsit

Daniel, Michael Katsit is the Chief Executive Officer of Kapital Care Trust and Securities Limited and qualified as an Associate Chartered Stockbroker (ACS) in 1998. He worked with Federal Government Agencies and parastatals after graduation between 1990-1992 before choosing a career in stock broking which has seen him work for Afrique Securities Limited, DBL Securities Limited (a subsidiary of Diamond Bank Plc) and later AAA Stockbrokers Limited as Manager in the Lagos office. He holds a B.sc degree and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and Lagos State University, Ojo-Lagos respectively. He is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers.

He has over 22 years experience in the Capital Market and is an active dealing clerk on the trading floors of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. He has previously served the Association of Stock broking Houses of Nigeria (ASHON) at both Committee and Executive levels, having served as PRO and Assistant General Secretary.

Daniel, Michael Katsit has attended various courses both within and outside the country in both the Capital Market and the Money Market. Mr. Daniel is a non-Executive member of the Board of Directors of Olive Microfinance Bank Limited and Currency Direct Express Limited (BDC). He is presently a Branch Council Member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange representing Port-Harcourt/Onitsha Branch. And is married with four(4) children.

Mr. Samuel Onukwue

Mr. Sam Onukwue has extensive banking and capital market experience gained over 30 years with the Central Bank of Nigeria, Merchant and Commercial Banks and Multinational Financial Institutions. He serves on the Board of some companies as well as professional bodies/trade groups.

He is the founder and pioneer CEO of Mega Equities Ltd (Member of The Lagos Commodities and Features Exchange) which he has successfully piloted since its inception in 2002.

Mr. Onukwue is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria as well as the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers. He also holds an MBA in Banking and Finance from the University of Lagos and an M.Sc. from Leeds Metropolitan University UK. He is a member of the Institute of Directors as well as Society for Corporate Governance – Nigeria.
